Parnilla as Evening Rainbow and more

Special Pricing - On Sale for $169.00 (reg. $199.00)

The fetching Parnilla arrives bearing inset blue eyes behind lush applied lashes and a thick mane of rooted chestnut.  Wearing this luxurious faux fur-trimmed gown of a shimmering black iridescence, beaded buttons and dainty ribbon trim, Parnilla has discovered the dark side of the rainbow. Completing her ensemble are an antiqued gold and purple necklace, an enchanting hairpiece of beads, ribbon, faux flowers and tulle, purple tights, shimmering black pumps. LE 350

Evening Rainbow on the WI site

Purchased Rainbow - on sale - months ago. Collectors claimed her looks to be lackluster in comparison to the other Parnilla and Evangeline dolls. I pushed her to her back of the closet NRFB. Perhaps a future Ebay listing. FORTUNATELY I had the good sense to rescue her from that condition and recognize that her hair and face-up are SUPERIOR to most - in my opinion - of course.

Re-dressed her in a fashion by Wicked Stitchery/shoes Facets by Marcia/chair Charlene of Four the Dolls.

Background for the twins

Take Agnes Dreary and mix her with a Wednesday Adams - add the blonde/blue eyed 50s little girl in braids via Patty McCormick in The Bad Seed and you find inspiration for the Impish Twins.

Inspired by

The Impish Cousin

Remember the 50s play turned thriller flick THE BAD SEED? Patty McCormick played the nasty little narcissistic Rhoda Pensmark.

So this cousin to Maudy Demise is named Maudy McCormick aka Cory. She prefers pastels to a palette of grays but dreary is still her favorite type of day.

Soon to arrive at Drearydom Larks

From Rainy Day Repaints and the magical doll artistry of John Maglio - The first of the impish cousins: Maudy Demise. She is a re-painted/wigged Maudlynne Macabre from Tonner. John turned this modest Maudylynne into a gothy girly that any Agnes Dreary fan would be proud to have as a friend. Demi also has an impish cousin who will travel the trails to NE PA with her. Yup - dolls will be the demise of me.

Maudy's new shoes

The silly plastic footies needed a quality replacement. 2debsadorables had just the thing.
