I won a Rustic Goth blog giveaway - WOWZER!

I am not very good at following/commenting on random blogs bc I am not a creative or artistic person AND most bloggers are AND I just don't feel - well - an equal to those who can and do create. They create and what do I do - only read.

However, I do follow some blogs I found through Etsy shops. Merchants and artists from whom I have purchased things and feel a bit of a connection to. Rustic Goth is one.

I purchased some AMAZING postcards, ACEOs, a print, and a mirror from Rustic Goth finding such delight in the little goth girls who mirror the sullen looks of the dolls in my Agnes Dreary collection. Many of Rustic goth items I have gifted to fellow Drearyians who are also delighted with the pieces!

So when I learned that Rustic Goth was having a giveaway for a Creepers Calendar 2010 I commented to enter and was one of the three to win a hard copy calender. I am bursting with joy!

Thank you Rustic Goth.

Here is a peek at how some of the Rustic Art pieces are currently being used with my doll collection displays - I just love them!

**see doll in previous post - Flexi's feet are like a rag dolls - floppy feet. Don't think they are supposed to be that way - just some quality control oversight...

We swapped and this is what I got : )

Cheeryaboutagnesdreary does a few swaps every year. Since we've only been around since August 2007, that's really only a few but we all love little gifities (or pressies as Nikki calls them) so that we always seem to be sending things all over the world to each other! LOL

Because Agnes is a Dark child, we call the Christmas swap - the NB4X exchange. Drearyian Ginger was my Secret Santa or should I say Secret SKELLY! She really zeroed in on my interests: funky socks, stockings for the dolls, Edward Gorey, and Agnes Dreary in a pastel Victorian theme.

Thanks you, Ginger and Dreary hugs coming your way!!!

Let it snow - 2009

First snow is here - just in time for Christmas in our Hometown. Activites began last PM.

For me - I prefer the quiet comfort I can see sitting by my computer looking through the glass door. Thank you Mother Nature and welcome Mr. Snowman. : )

Tonner does a Re-Imagination series of dolls where the princess is present - but with a twist.

A hair product advertisement from the UK uses the similar style.

Infinity Reunion

Tonight's the night a group of former students who also had a rock group in the mid to late 80s are getting together to ROCK us once again at Shadowbrook. Almost 400 tickets went in presales. How GREAT is that???

Waif - back in original Sister black

Waif can wear the original Sister Dreary fashion and boots with no "too tight to snap" incidents. Did I mention both original Sister and Waif have the flat versus fashion feet? Waif's bend at the ankle.

Agnes Dreary is wearing her Woe Is Me ensemble (minus the boots) from the 2007 line.

The happy siblings - antique shopping? LOL

Welcome Waif

Robert Tonner has introduced a new line for 2009 - Sinister Circus. While most of the dolls in this collection are too - well - SINISTER - even for my Agnes Dreary group, Waif appeared to me as the big sister that Agnes always imagined.

The doll has the Reading to Alice scupt and the 15 inch teen body that was formed for Bella (of Bella Swan - the one who loves the stone like cold chest of Edward Cullen. : )

The had size seems a bit "off" but the hair, outfit, and kohl eye makeup suit the image intended.

Now I need to learn which other Tyler fashions Waif can wear.

Harley Quinn returns for trick or treat

Seen here wearing the original Sister Dreary dress and boots - since I can't Frankendolly, poor Harley is doomed to only two choices of flat footwear: Mary Janes and boots.
