Circus Kane MDCC 2013
AM did an awesome job creating the display table for Nefer Kane's ( Circus Kane ) BJDs and fashions at the Modern Doll Collectors Convention this past week in Manchester, NH. The circus tent and colorful chairs enhanced the circus theme.

Another Dreary day with her pale blue eyes arrived yesterday at Drearydom Larks (the name of my Doll Collection/blog - since Agnes Dreary was my first ever Tonner doll). With her hair pulled back/bow, the lace trim on her dress, and the mutton sleeves - this latest Agnes is very Victorian in style. The new body is fabulous! She looks much better "in person" than her PR pic. I love Agnes Dreary!

"American Horror Story: Coven" tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Jessica Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.

This is easy. ANYTHING Dale Zentner. Tried for a Tessa all of 2012/13w/ no luck. When a doll is completed (full set) Dale emails interested buyers. First to respond has the option to purchase the doll.

1 of 3 Dolls of Interest September 8, 2013
My initial title was "Doll of Interest." Too general. A year needed to be added. The dolls of interest have changed drastically for me since my serious collecting commented in 2007 with Tonner's Agnes Dreary.

Loving Gatsby - again
The mid 1970s found us re-loving Gatsby through Redford and Farrow in the latest film version. Women were wed wearing floppy hats instead of veils and the men sported white trousers, shoes, and colorful jackets as serious fashion.
2013 took the pink suit to DiCaprio and again the ladies look for their fashions swinging and their men driving Model As.
My BDFF Penne from GA created Gatsby for my Dollmore Eve and she is smashing from her cloche
-
to the beading on her dress
and every other little detail.
Had to display Eve with more time-related items: a craftsman house and a book featuring William Morris textiles. Thank you, Penne, for dressing Eve! PS I love the seamed stockings!
